Owner & Head of school : Edith Nuri

I am extremely excited to lead this great center and hope to engage the community with many of our programs.
I am very lucky to be with an amazing group of people working together in order to create the highest quality early-childhood education while fostering Jewish traditions, values and culture. My main goal is to provide a warm, inspiring and loving atmosphere for children to learn and grow.

Curriculum

Gan Yalduti is an Israeli /Jewish Preschool located in Bellevue WA.
licensed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF).

Gan Yalduti is a playful place where teachers and parents work together to create a warm, inspiring and loving atmosphere for children. We believe that preschool prepares children for what is to come, in all areas of their lives-both academic and social. We pledge to promote self-confidence, fearlessness, curiosity and dignity and to recognize these traits as important in everyone.
Our philosophy continues to evolve. There are, however, several concepts that are basic to our program:
To help children develop feelings of self-worth, independence and self-confidence.
To expose children to many kinds of learning experiences.
To treat children as unique individuals.
To develop a sense of Jewish identity.
To encourage positive social awareness and interaction.
To awaken an awareness of nature through indoor and outdoor experiences.
To help children learn to make a positive contribution to their own family and community.

Gan Yalduti Curriculum provides the opportunities for children to expand their curiosity and discover new challenges.

We encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process which balances child-initiated and teacher-initiated activities.

Our curriculum is designed around the concept that children learn through play.

Through play our children acquire skills in the five main developmental areas: Social and emotional, gross motor, fine motor, language & communication and cognitive.

Jewish Holidays, tradition and values are incorporated into all curriculum areas.

Ivrit (Hebrew): Kids enjoy our weekly Ivrit classroom and learn through interaction, songs, stories and rhymes.

There is a balance between the Jewish calendar and the everyday lives, general studies and interests of the children of the class.

Our curriculum does not look the same from one classroom to the next, it is adapted to meet the curiosities and learning styles of each child.

Our classroom environment motivates children to make choices, develop a positive self-concept, and promote learning through experimentation and problem-solving.

We know that opportunities for discovery are based on children’s interests and growth out of their existing knowledge, our curriculum emerges, in part, from those interests.
